Young Horticulture Leaders Forum - Logo Design

Client Brief

Develop a logo for the Young Horticulture Leaders Forum that would sit under the Future Farmers Network umbrella. The identity needed to align visually with the existing Young Beef Producers Forum branding, allowing it to become part of a cohesive series of forum identities. The design also needed to represent the broader horticulture industry without being too sector-specific.

My Role

I was responsible for the full logo concept, design development, and visual alignment with the Future Farmers brand. This included ensuring the logo could sit cohesively alongside existing forum identities while maintaining its own distinct presence.

Design Approach

The primary objective was to create a versatile identity that symbolised both horticulture and leadership development.

To reflect the forum’s role in fostering the next generation of industry leaders, I incorporated an emerging seedling - representing both physical plant growth and the growth of young professionals within the sector.Subtle crop rows on the horizon were introduced to symbolise new beginnings, opportunity, and the diverse production landscape within horticulture. The form was intentionally kept broad to ensure it could represent all sectors of the industry without narrowing the focus to a specific crop.

The colour palette integrates tones from the Future Farmers brand, allowing the logo to sit comfortably within the broader organisational identity while also aligning with the Young Beef Producers Forum as part of a developing series.
